Stage Play: Bloody Whiskered
Synopsis
On the wrong side of the tracks, in a run-down pub called The Feral Tom, lives a cat named Tom. Tom, a self-proclaimed street cat, loves his life of crime and independence, despite being annoyed by pub regulars and Bertie, the nearby crow who keeps trying to sell him stuff. However, things at the pub get shaken up when Fluffy, a slightly psychotic and very rich house cat, arrives. Fluffy has run away from home after the attempts to kill his owners have gone awry, and demands that Tom show him the ways of the street cat.
Love cats? Love alcohol? Then watch two cats strike up an unlikely friendship, surviving through the turmoils of pub fights, drugs, and ABBA.
Genre: Comedy
Length: 1 hour
Characters: 8 (6 Male, 2 Female)
Bloody Whiskered is a one-act play, featuring physical theatre, dance numbers, and choreographed fights. It should be noted that the animal characters don’t actually act like animals, they speak and move like humans. The only allusion to the fact that they are animals is the way other people talk to them and the cat/bird jokes.
